CAT vs Komatsu vs SANY Spare Parts: Global Availability and Sourcing

CAT vs Komatsu vs SANY Spare Parts: Global Availability and Sourcing

Short answer: there is no honest worldwide winner for CAT, Komatsu or SANY excavator spare-parts availability. Each brand provides official parts or service channels, but a buyer can confirm availability only for a specific machine, part and destination at a specific time. The safe comparison is therefore not “which brand is always best?” but “which verified supply route can support this machine where it will work?”

Buyer decision: check the official brand channel first, then compare any independent alternative by exact part number, machine serial number, manufacturer identity, condition, warranty, destination and written lead time. A broad claim such as “parts available worldwide” is not purchase evidence.

CAT vs Komatsu vs SANY: what can be verified online?

Brand Official starting point What it can establish What still needs a live quotation
CAT Cat parts support and the Cat dealer locator The official catalog/dealer route for genuine Cat parts and local support. Fit for the machine serial number, local stock, price, taxes, freight and delivery date.
Komatsu Komatsu Parts Komatsu states that Genuine and Reman parts can be ordered through My Komatsu with dealer pickup or delivery options. Account and country access, exact part supersession, local stock, price and delivery date.
SANY SANY service support and its global service network The official route to locate regional dealer/service contacts and maintenance support. Whether the relevant dealer supports the exact excavator model, part number, country and requested delivery window.
Official sources checked 29 August 2026. Local inventory and lead times are quote-specific and can change.

Important boundary: PRIMA is an independent China-based sourcing company. PRIMA is not presented here as an authorized CAT, Komatsu or SANY dealer. A quotation must state the offered source and condition; it must not label a part “genuine,” “OEM” or brand-authorized without supporting evidence.

A six-step parts-availability verification workflow

  1. Identify the machine: record brand, full model, machine serial number or PIN, configuration and destination country.
  2. Identify the part: provide the exact part number when available, plus a clear name, quantity and photos of labels, ports, mounting points or dimensions.
  3. Check the official route: ask the brand’s local dealer or official parts channel to confirm current part number, supersession and orderability.
  4. Define acceptable condition: genuine new, named-manufacturer new, aftermarket new, remanufactured, rebuilt or used are different offers. Do not compare them as if they were the same product.
  5. Require a written offer: the quote should name the manufacturer or source, condition, part number, quantity, warranty terms, packing, currency, Incoterm, dispatch location and validity date.
  6. Verify before payment: match the quote to the serial-number evidence and request current item/label photos when the supplier says a specific unit or item is ready.

How should buyers check CAT excavator parts availability?

Start with the Cat parts site or dealer locator and select the dealer that serves the machine’s destination. Ask that dealer to check the serial number and confirm whether the requested number is current or has been superseded. A catalog result or dealer-network statement does not prove that a part is physically in stock in the buyer’s country.

If an independent supplier offers an alternative, require a separate line for source and condition. “Fits CAT” is an application statement, not proof that the part is genuine Cat. For warranty-sensitive or safety-critical work, obtain the machine-specific recommendation from the authorized channel before choosing an alternative.

How should buyers check Komatsu excavator parts availability?

Use Komatsu’s official parts route and the appropriate dealer or My Komatsu access for the buyer’s market. Confirm the machine serial number, the requested number and any replacement number before comparing prices. A PC-series model name alone is not enough evidence that pumps, valves, controllers or final drives interchange across machines.

When considering Genuine, Reman or an independent alternative, compare like with like. The quote should name the exact condition and warranty instead of relying on a general claim that Komatsu parts are “easy to find.”

How should buyers check SANY excavator parts availability?

Use SANY’s official service support and network pages to find the relevant regional contact. Ask that contact whether it supports the exact excavator model and destination, then request a part-number and lead-time confirmation. A global dealer count or network map cannot establish stock for one part in one country.

For an independent China-sourced alternative, require current label photos, manufacturer identity and fitment evidence. Do not infer that an unbranded component came from the same factory as a SANY part, and do not accept that statement without documentary evidence.

What evidence should a parts quotation contain?

Evidence field Minimum acceptance Reason
Machine identity Brand, full model and serial number/PIN Model names can cover different production series.
Part identity Requested number plus quoted current/superseding number Prevents a vague “compatible” substitution.
Source and condition Named manufacturer/source and explicit condition Separates genuine, named-manufacturer, aftermarket, reman, rebuilt and used offers.
Fitment evidence Catalog/dealer confirmation or matched dimensions, ports, splines, voltage and mounting details as applicable A photo or filename alone cannot prove fit.
Availability Dated written stock or production status and a stated dispatch estimate “Available” without date, quantity and location is not actionable.
Commercial terms Quantity, currency, Incoterm, packing, warranty, quote validity and destination Makes competing quotations comparable.

Hydraulic pumps and final drives need additional technical matching. See the hydraulic pump buyer guide. For track rollers, idlers, sprockets and track chains, use the undercarriage fitment guide.

Red flags that should stop a parts order

  • The supplier confirms fit from only a broad model name or a photo filename.
  • “Original,” “OEM” or “genuine” appears without a named source and supporting evidence.
  • The quote omits condition, warranty, quantity, dispatch location or validity date.
  • A fixed global lead time is promised before the destination and exact part are checked.
  • One price is compared with another without matching condition, Incoterm and packing.
  • A supplier refuses to provide current label/item evidence for a specifically claimed stock item.

Request a fitment-screened CAT, Komatsu or SANY parts quotation

PRIMA can screen an independent-market request only after receiving enough evidence. Send the brand, full model, serial number/PIN, part number or clear photos, required condition, quantity and destination. If those fields are missing, the request remains a sourcing lead rather than a verified fitment or stock confirmation.

Send the six RFQ fields: brand/model, serial number, part number or photos, accepted condition, quantity and destination.

Availability, fitment, price, lead time and warranty are not claimed until confirmed in a dated written quotation for the exact request. PRIMA does not infer stock or authenticity from a photo, filename or competitor page.

Source boundary and update note

The official brand links above were rechecked on 29 August 2026. They establish official catalog, parts, dealer or service routes; they do not prove PRIMA inventory or a destination-specific lead time. PRIMA’s page independently explains the buyer verification process and does not copy competitor text, images or code.
